The Legendary , the best batch of Luang Por Pae , the beginning of Pan Series ! Wearing this as good as wearing Somdej WRK of Phra Somdej Buddhacarya Toh.
Because of its immense popularity, the Somdej Pae Phan is considered
"The ultimate sacred amulet" (Luang Phor Pae).
According to historical accounts, the Somdej Pae Phan amulet was created at the request of Luang Phor Pae to reward those who donated to the construction of a new monk's residence.
Replacing the old, dilapidated one, while he was still Phra Kru Phrom Sokit.
Only 100 pieces were made, incorporating broken pieces of Somdej Wat Rakhang amulets from both Luang Phor Pae and his disciples.
The front depicts a Kaiser-style Somdej amulet, while the back features a half-body image of Luang Phor Pae with the words "Pae Phan" (the two words spaced apart) at the bottom.
This is the origin of the name "Pae Phan," without any explanation as to the reason for this name.
The top features a sacred Yantra on each side, and a special feature is the embedded gold and silver Takrut (amulets).
Later, the initial number of amulets, set to be equal to the donors who contributed to the construction of the monk's dwelling, had to be changed because it was insufficient due to the unexpectedly large number of donors.
It was necessary to create more, approximately 100 amulets in total, including those that were broken.
Therefore, there are fewer than 200 of these Somdej Pae Phan amulets.
After completion, Luang Phor Pae consecrated them individually for one Buddhist Lent period.
They were then brought to a grand Buddhist consecration ceremony presided over by Luang Pu Toh of Wat Pradu Chimphli, along with other famous monks of the time.
This is the origin of subsequent Somdej amulet series known as Pae Phan, Pae 3 Phan, and even Pae 9 Phan.
